SOME WORDS ABOUT ME
from the beginning of my study my artistic interest was very wide. I wanted to explore 2 and 3d and the relationships in between. so I simultaniously studied drawing, painting and sculpture. very early I focused on MATERIAL and SPACE, experimenting with expression, form and content. I worked in collages, small and light (painting) or 2 m big (3d relief, cut from old mattrasses) and also in spacial installations. a fulbright grant to the usa - oklahoma - in 1987 brought me more and more to LANDSCAPE and SPACE and finally made it my central artistic theme in my life. dealing with transformation of and impact on perception, creating of new relationships, the discovery of different levels of imagination_ all these themes fascinated me. since then I have developed small and large cycles which often combine different styles or groups of images in a unique way and which I place somewhere between image, installation and film. I try to meet a higher entity, but at the same moment the single, small image opens up to its individual huge universe.
